Public Art in Las Vegas

Our fourth shoot as a class was 'Public Art' in Las Vegas, and there sure is some from actual art either on the street during First Friday, to parks, to architecture on the strip, to statues in and around casinos. It's there, you might not think so, but if you just look around, you can see the 'art' in Las Vegas... here, take a look...
Caesar's Palace, and named that rightly so!

Las Vegas Up High

Shoot three (III) of the class was Las Vegas Up High, meaning Las Vegas from a high point of view, looking up, or just 'looking up' to Las Vegas... here's lookin' at you Las Vegas!

This shot above is Las Vegas Up High, but it could also be used for my personal project for the class, which is basically 'abandoned' and 'exalted' places, people or things in Las Vegas, here is 'exalted' architecture in Las Vegas, the Paris Hotel and Casino's version of the Eiffel Tower ... more to come later...

Fremont Street at Night

Jillian's Bus Stop. This one I took on my own when I happened to be near Jillian's one night. But it was the same week as the Fremont shoot.

More Fremont Street at Night...
A completely different atmosphere at night...

First shoot: Fremont Street 1-31-08

Our first shoot as a class was down Fremont Street. It was nice to go in a group, for that is not a place you want to wander alone, especially looking distracted with a camera. So, it was nice to be able to do that. I got some interesting pictures. Here are some. These are by no means all of them or perhaps the most finished ones. But ones I thought I would post for now anyway. Thanks for looking.
